The designs time travelled to the Mughal period, an era which glimmered with intricately carved floral designs and patterns. Sawhney’s work was extremely intricate, especially with its filigree and subsequent interplay with gemstones like ruby, sapphire, and pearls, blues sapphire, taking one back to the charm and magic of the royal era itself.

Overall the bridal look was an amalgamation of West European sensitivity and Mughal finesse. Sumit’s jewellery was evocative of the meticulous designs of an era which revelled in ornate adornments. Sumit Stated, “The fusion of Mughal flamboyance with the French floral theme displayed the best of both worlds. It was a pleasure to venture out in the aesthetic balance and fusion of the two strong contradicting yet complementing styles. The collaboration to fuse my creations with Varun’s cuts and styles has been enriching. I feel extremely pleased to be a part of the noble cause organised by Rotary.”
